Red Tent + Kava Ceremony at Two Dog Farms

Red Tent + Kava Ceremony at Two Dog Farms
50.00

Join Ali Pinion and Mandi Sanders at beautiful Two Dog Farms in Flora, MS for a Red Tent and Kava Ceremony. We will gather in the lovely home of our host, Dot Killen, at Two Dog Farms on Saturday, August 17th from 3-6 pm. Red Tents are sacred spaces for women to come together in sacred community to share wisdom and build conscious community. After hosting Red Tents in their community for several years, Ali and Mandi have answered the call to travel with their Red Tent offerings. We will welcome everyone into our time together with a Red Tent history and background, so no prior knowledge or experience is required. We ask that you come with the intention of entering sacred space with an open heart and mind ready to receive the blessings and gifts that come when women gather together in ceremony. As part of this Red Tent, we are offering a Guided Plant Spirit Medicine Ceremony with Sacred Kava. Traditional to the people of Oceania, this sacred plant medicine is relaxing and simply just fun! We will cultivate a ceremony that centers on the medicine of love & laughter that Kava offers us. Kava is ancestral and communal medicine. We will journey with Sound Activation into a meditative space where this medicine can be embodied within the collective consciousness in this circle of women. Your guides are looking forward to creating a safe and comfortable space for anyone with resonating with this intention, so that you may step in, right where you are, with no prior experience necessary.

Spots are limited and will likely sell out quickly. We are intentionally keeping the numbers smaller to be mindful of holding space for our first ceremony in the Jackson metro area. Reserve your spot by purchasing your ticket today! We can not offer refunds in the event you are unable to attend, however, we can transfer to someone else (you handling the transaction & letting us know the person’s name) or assist your transfer by offering it to the next person on our waiting list.

What to do to prepare for the ceremony?

The days before, begin to be mindful of your dreams and what is going on your life in and around you. Write it down, take more time than usual for yourself, and begin to shift into awareness of the time together that is coming preparing your body with nourishing simple foods, and your mind and spirit with rest, awareness and connection. The day of please eat simple, light but nourishing foods. Don’t come hungry, yet also do not be stuffed full. Ideally, caffeine intake is limited or not at all leading up to the ceremony. Drink plenty of water before, during, and after. Kava is relaxing in an uplifting way, but needs lots of water in the system to not over burden the liver. Be sure to bring a journal and something to write with as well as your water bottle. In it’s traditional culture, kava is consumed safely by everyone including pregnant and breastfeeding women. We will be preparing the traditional root beverage in this same way, however, if you have concerns, please email or speak with Mandi beforehand. The option to drink a half dose is always available. And as a skilled herbalist and plant medicine ceremonialist, Mandi can work with you to still enjoy kava medicine in a way that is appropriate. We will have time to write, process, and share, but the medicine will continue to work and ripple out in the days following. We encourage you to continue being mindful of dreams, meditations, and waking life and capturing your experience in your journal.

July's Red Tent: Diving Deep & Tapping IN

July's Red Tent is exploring the healing art of the shamanic journey.

When you began to understand the basics of the shamanic journey, the world that you know will be open to infinite possibilities. Learning how to journey is one of the most fundamental tools for esoteric healing, deep meditation, shamanic journeys, dream work, and so much more. In this Red Tent, we will learn practices for journeying safely in order to grow your own spiritual guidance and intuition.

We will talk about working with power animals/plants/stones and other spirit guides. In previous Red Tents, we have worked a lot with sound, and we will show you how sound can take you deeper into a journey as well as lead you to other places. Shamanic journeying can help to guide you in soul retrieval, remove spiritual blockages, retrieve lost power, and connect you to your ancestors. Journeying will also serve as a foundation for future journey work in many Red Tents to come.

Please bring something to write in for this Red Tent. There can be so much wonderful and healing information that comes through in a journey, and it is important to write it down as soon as you can.

Vision boards are an incredible tool to align you with your true self and manifest the life your soul desires. We will take time throughout this weekend to ponder that which we are ready to release in order to be able to call in utilizing the power of attraction. This is no ordinary vision board, but a potent tool of manifestation! Mandi Sanders will guide us through this process harnessing the power of the astrological new year which begins on the Aries New Moon, April 5th. Mandi has been crafting vision boards with the Aries New Moon for the last 10 years utilizing this potent energy at the start of the universal cycle, and has lead vision board workshops for 7 years.

Sacred Cacao Ceremony

Join us Sunday, March 3 to partake in a sacred cacao ceremony at The Serendipity Hippie. Ali Pinion and Mandi Sanders have worked extensively with sacred cacao medicine honoring the Mayan culture and sharing the medicine of cacao with their community. Ceremonial Cacao is the raw chocolate plant prepared by a Cacao Shaman. The methods are sacred and preserve the medicinal benefits of the cacao plant. This sacred plant medicine opens our hearts and brings joy. This medicine of love was used to connect community members, celebrate rites of passage, and in gratitude rituals for Mother Earth & the Ancestors.

In this ceremony, we will gather to give gratitude to the plant, and through meditation we will connect to the messages she offers us. We will drink in her sacred plant medicine, and as we feel her energizing effects, we will dance, drum, and share her wisdom. We will embark on a heart opening journey that will weave loving connections to your inner landscape. Cacao's sacred medicine involves opening the heart to new possibilities and unconditional self love. She literally causes your heart to pump more blood throughout your body. As with each beat of our loving hearts, so we shall travel with the beats of the drum. If you have a percussion instrument or rattle please bring them along. We will have extras as well. No prior experience is necessary. All we ask is you come with reverence and presence. This ceremony is open to all people over the age of 18.

cost: $35 in advance, $40 at the door
